Hugh Jackman has thrown his support behind a charity campaign by offering fans the chance to meet him if they donate to BroadwayCares/Equity Fights AIDS. The Wolverine star has offered fans who donate $8 (£5) through Groupon.com a chance to enter a draw to win a trip to New York, tickets to a V.I.P viewing of the star’s new Broadway play, The River, and a meet and greet. Jackman revealed that the charity, which raises money for essential services for AIDS victims, is one of his favorites and he urges fans to support the cause. He says, “One of my favorite charities is BroadwayCares/Equity Fights AIDS. Please join me in supporting this worthwhile organization that is making a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children across the country who are facing serious health challenges. And I look forward to you seeing The River and saying hello after the show.”
