Sir Mick Jagger’s fashion designer girlfriend L’Wren Scott has landed a posthumous honour for her charity work. Scott, who ran her own fashion business and dressed stars including Nicole Kidman, took her own life last week (beg17Mar14) while her rocker partner was away on tour with the Rolling Stones. Executives at children’s charity The Art of Elysium have now announced plans to immortalize Scott and celebrate her philanthropic work by naming a new award in her honour. The L’Wren Scott Amber Award, which will celebrate emerging fashion designers, is named after the stylish star and a little girl called Amber, who was one of the first kids to take part in the group’s fashion workshops. The winner of the prize will be allowed to create a clothing line for the charity, which will be sold to raise money.
