True Review Television- This Week: Performances And Revelations

Considered the seventh most watched show of television, Life OK?s Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re has revealed a new track which mingles with the land development scam and is an assured enhancer to the narrative. Other than getting Model Town vacated to raze it to ground zero and build his dream hotel project, Raval is waiting to settle a score with Rambhateri. The latter is Raju?s biological mother and Raval is ensuring the two recognize that. Jaane Kya?; while Dev who has just died and Garima aren?t his biological parents. Raju is grief stricken. The narrative is now rife with plot speculations about what next and who is whose offspring? Will the equations in the Model Town drama change when existing relationships are screened against the emerging truth about the biological bonds? How will they play out against the redevelopment scam? Will Raju continues as Raval?s accomplice? When it started, the show was too episodic and the narrative fragmented. A burst of characters filled the screen, slowly, a bit too slow I am afraid so one tended to walk away. Over the last two weeks, with Rambhateri?s entry and the revelation of Model Town being the site of a Ram Leela ground the interest level has upped and so has the dramatic action and the truth about relationships emerging. Raval fires his first salvo at Rambhateri by getting her arrested for a fire which she had no hand in. Raju gets her to escape and has stashed her away in a godown. Unlike many of Life OK?s stellar shows where the narrative has been straight and simple, Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re is a tad complex, yet gripping. The action, hence, is relatively absent as of now except for a few outbursts of rage. Jaane Kya? is held together by ace performances by Supriya Pathak and Mihir Mishra who acquits himself well in a negative role as Raval. The younger actors Vinti Idnani and Jatin Sharma are not to be overlooked. As in Mahakumbh, Seema Biswas as Mai Mui was ultimately pivotal and enduring ? as she is the link for continuity. Supriya Pathak is tailor made to play Rambhateri, and brings to the table a magnetic presence. As the episodes unfold with underlying complexity, it will be interesting to watch Mihir Mishra pitch himself with the senior actress; and the two younger ones matching the seniors. Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re has so far kept itself in the 8 pm league of Life OK with its production and content values. Will performances take over?
