Neil Nitin Mukesh Shoots An Ad For A Social Cause, Stands Up For Abused Elephants

As part of a campaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, Neil appeared in a print ad, which sees him bruised and in shackles. The ad reads, “Elephants Used for Joyrides Are Beaten, Shackled, and Abused.” (Also Read: Neil Nitin Mukesh goes unrecognisable as Sanjay Gandhi in ‘Indu Sarkar’) The ad had been shot by photographer Rohan Shrestha, speaking of which, Neil says, “We actors choose to entertain people, but elephants who are used for human amusement are forced into this business. These beautiful gentle giants are beaten, shackled, and abused, and their spirits are broken — just for the sake of joyrides.”
