The Finale Of 5th Jagran Film Festival To Be Held In Mumbai

5th Jagran Film Festival to be held in Mumbai from 22nd to 28th September, 2014~

India’s only travelling film festival; Jagran Film Festival will now reach its concluding stage after travelling across 15 cities in India. The festival will reach its last leg and conclude in Mumbai from 22nd September, 2014 to 28th September, 2014 at PVR Cinemas, Andheriand PVR Cinemas, Juhu.

The festival presents an exciting line up of films in diverse genres from every corner of the world. The festival will feature films under several sections: Cinema of the Uprising, International Competition, Indian Showcase and Country Focus (Cyprus). The Indian Showcase and the International Short Film Competition have 25 entries each from over 35 countries jointly. The jury members will meet during the festival and the results will be announced in Mumbai in the presence of a star-studded audience.

Under the section “Cinema of the Uprising” the festival seeks to bring alive the strife and struggles of human beings, social groups and the human race in general which rose against oppression and torture, taming of the human spirit, freedom, liberty and other human values. This special section brings together seven features, four international and three Indian, dedicated to the fight to free human lives and minds. Movies one should not miss at Jagran Film Festival are Do beegha zameen, Bandini, Oscar nominated film: Outside the law, Barbarians, A patriotic man and Break loose.

Under the category Country Focus, an eclectic mix of Cyprus Cinema will be screened for the audience. Apart from this, Thirteen International films across the world will make their Asian debut at the 5th Jagran Film Festival, Mumbai.

The Jagran Film Festival has been synonymous with broadened imagination and empowerment. Apart from showcasing films from Indian and international cinema, an integral part of the festival are the Master Class and Workshops where eminent filmmakers and film personalities take you through the journey of filmmaking.

Conceptualized to bring world-class cinema to its intended audience, Jagran Film Festival, Mumbai 2014 will be bigger and better. At the festival, film lovers spread across the length and breadth of India would get an opportunity to enjoy a good mix of feature, short and documentary films, along with student films.
