Priyanka Chopra On Her Charity: No Child Should Be 'Denied A Dream'

You may recognize Priyanka Chopra as the leather-tough FBI recruit from ABC’sQuantico. But, to the girls of The Priyanka Chopra Foundation for Health and Education, she is so much more. Chopra, who’s featured in the April issue of Glamour, recently opened up about her namesake charity, which subsidizes education for youth in her home country. The Bollywood breakout shared the seeds for the nonprofit were planted nearly 10 years ago when she realized that the son of her family’s housekeeper was enrolled in school, but the daughter was not. Upon her discovery, Chopra paid the girl’s tuition. And now, through her foundation, Chopra covers educational and medical expenses for 70 children in India — 50 of them girls. Per Glamour, the actress contributes 10 percent of her earnings to fund the foundation’s operations.
