For this purpose, Rasmus and his church created the Temenos Community Development Corporation (TCDC), and partnered with the Bread for Life organization already providing services to the community’s homeless. Singer Beyonce Knowles, a native of Houston and member of Rasmus’ church, donated to TCDC’s seven-million dollar housing project, the Knowles Temenos Place Apartments, which has been home to 43 previously homeless men and women since 2009. “[Beyoncé] is an incredible human being, has an incredible heart,” Pastor Rasmus told KHOU News, “and has been extremely helpful in our mission and our ministry here.”
