Chennai Film Fest To Screen Films Of Jayalalithaa

The Chennai International Film Festival, which will be held in the city between January 5 and 12, will be screening films of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who passed away recently, as a tribute to her. Two films of Jayalalithaa — BR Panthulu’s Aayirathil Oruvan, in which she paired opposite her political mentor MGR for the very first time, and K Shankar’s Adimai Penn, which saw her playing a princess and a peasant — will be screened as part of this homage at the Casino theatre.
