I’m not quite sure why they don’t televise Michael McIntyre’s Christmas charity show at the Hammersmith Apollo or turn it into a stocking-filler DVD. It would gladden the hearts of millions. Now in its fourth year, the event is becoming almost as much of a Yuletide institution as those John Lewis ads. And rather than just encouraging people to shop, it’s for a good cause — on Tuesday night raising bucket-loads of cash for the Kids Company, which works with disadvantaged young people. Click here
