One Direction’s Niall Horan was joined by band mates Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, and a host of celebrities for the Niall Horan Charity Football Challenge in the UK on Monday. Held at the Leicester City Football Club, the charity match saw One Direction join with Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Ronan Keating, as well as Olly Murs, Rod Stewart, Piers Morgan, James Corden, John Bishop, Robbie Savage and many others for two charities – Irish Autism Action and Heart and Minds Challenge. Over 10,000 people attended the match, raising over £300,000 for the organisations.“Although my team didn’t win, I still enjoyed every minute of this game”, said Niall. “I would like to thank all the players who donated their time free of charge to support this event. I am looking forward to making this even bigger and better next year. “I am delighted we have raised significant funds for Irish Autism Action which is based in my home town of Mullingar, UK based Heart and Minds Challenge and the Leicester Foxes Foundation.”
