‘Starting Small With Shorts’ Panel Discussion With Mr. Saameer Mody, Pocket Films at Jagran Film Festival

Also joining the panel would be Manoj Srivastava, Strategic Consultant, Jagran Film Festival and Cyrus Dastur, Founder Shamiana Shorts.
Established in 2009, Pocket Films is a pioneer in alternate content, providing opportunities to independent film makers to showcase their talent to the industry and to reach the mass audience. Spreading across this idea, Mr. Saameer Mody along with the other panelists will speak about the benefits of starting with short films for the filmmakers and how it helps them in the long run.
Mr. Sameer Mody, Managing Director of Pocket films will discuss the various aspects in marketing and distribution of short films through various mediums, particularly the internet and mobile. The panelists will throw light on how to develop a story that needs to be told in short amount of time and operating within a cost-effective budget that accounts for pre-production, post-production and marketing/film festivals options for fundraising. Basically, guide them to follow and achieve their dreams of film making.
The Jagran film festival (JFF) will kick start on 22nd September in Mumbai after completing its journey across 16 cities. The festival screens films across genres from around the globe and ad films. JFF to put together experts in various domains to share various aspects of creating cinema and film appreciation of film making on 23rd September 2014 for budding film makers.
