Street Artist Turns His Aerosol Toward Saving The Bees

Nick Sweetman has been part of Toronto’s street art scene for years. Now, he’s taking a global approach as part of the city’s Street ARToronto program. “It’s a bit ironic — painting to save the environment with a bunch of toxic chemicals,” said Nick Sweetman, a Toronto street artist and creator of an eye-popping new mural on the corner of Bloor St. W and Howland St. “But it’s not something I can ignore anymore. It’s intense and frankly really scary to think about the idea that we might have to one day do what billions of insects do for us every day.”
