On March 20, 2025, Raymond marked 100 glorious years in Indian luxury fashion with an exclusive showcase of The Chairman’s Collection at the Atelier. Conceptualised by Chairman Gautam Singhania and curated by luxury brand consultant Nisha JamVwal, the evening celebrated Raymond’s timeless heritage through a breathtaking collection of shirts, bandhgalas, and tuxedos. Attended by India’s glitterati including Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Shekhar Suman, the event was a grand tribute to Raymond’s craftsmanship, legacy, and evolution. The Chairman’s Collection redefined modern Indian menswear with elegance, artistry, and global appeal.

A Night of Timeless Elegance: Raymond’s Centennial Celebration Unveils the Chairman’s Collection in Spectacular Style

The Atelier came alive in a riot of colour, texture, and glamour as India’s fashion elite gathered to celebrate a century of Raymond—India’s iconic name in luxury fashion—on the evening of March 20, 2025. At the centre of the celebration was an extraordinary preview of The Chairman’s Collection, a flamboyant and exquisitely tailored ensemble of shirts, bandhgalas, and tuxedos curated by luxury brand consultant Nisha JamVwal, and visualised by none other than Chairman Gautam Singhania.

The soiree, held to honour Raymond’s 100-year legacy, was a glittering tribute to heritage and craftsmanship. The Atelier space was transformed into a theatre of elegance and storytelling, where every thread carried meaning and every silhouette whispered history.

A Fusion of Vision and Heritage

Speaking of the experience, Neil Nitin Mukesh said:  “Last night I learnt the true meaning of ‘The Complete Man’.” This sentiment captured the spirit of the evening—a celebration not just of menswear, but of what Raymond represents in Indian culture: timeless sophistication, dignity, and refinement.”

Ojas Rajani, who attended the soiree, called it an “Exquisite Showcase for the Chairman’s Collection,” masterminded by Gautam Singhania and curated by her dear friend Nisha JamVwal, “where heritage and craftsmanship came together.” She added that the event was a “game-changing collection that redefines timeless sophistication.”

The collection, conceptualised and curated by JamVwal and Singhania, blended bold contemporary statements with meticulous tailoring and deep respect for tradition. With shimmering bandhgalas, luxurious tuxedos, and regal silhouettes, it was a fashion moment that embraced India’s aesthetic legacy while looking forward to a new future.

Glamour, Grandeur, and Familiar Faces

The evening was as much about fashion as it was about community. The guest list was a showcase of Indian celebrity, creativity, and diplomacy—each individual lending their sparkle to the night. In attendance were Jackie Shroff, Prahlad Kakkar, Shekhar Suman, Gopika Dahanukar, Rukmini Dahanukar, Tanuj Garg, Panchali Chakraverty, Zayed Khan, and Aliaksandr Matsykou, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Mumbai.

Also present was actor Neil Nitin Mukesh’s elegant wife Rukmini, who said, “Thank you for a truly unforgettable evening!” To which Nisha JamVwal responded, “Having you by my side felt warm and wonderful. Some people are just special from the word go.” Such sentiments of warmth and camaraderie lit up the evening just as brightly as the fashion.

A Testament to Indian Craftsmanship

Samaira Bellasimo, another guest at the preview, beautifully summed up the evening as “an unforgettable evening at the exclusive preview of the Chairman's Collection... a captivating fusion of heritage and craftsmanship.”

JamVwal transformed the venue into an immersive art installation through her architectural expertise. Her multidisciplinary mastery in art, couture, and indigenous Indian craft manifested in an environment blending story boards, mannequins, and fabric swatches—creating a sensory journey into the creative process. This masterpiece required three weeks of JamVwal's relentless dedication. Her collaboration with Raymond's head designer Nameet Srivastava resulted in a bespoke outfit positioning her as an integral element of the installation—embodying the artistic vision she had crafted. JamVwal's curatorial brilliance shone through her selection of 250 luminaries representing Mumbai's diverse cultural landscape. This carefully orchestrated assembly included friends who had popped in for a short while but ended up staying for the entire evening  enjoying the different aspects of the experiences.    Political figures like MLA Adv. Aashish Shelar; business leaders such as Taj Group's Puneet Chatwal; artists Sandeep Soparkar and Kochi Biennale founder Riyaz Komu; distinguished IAS officers; and celebrated entertainment personalities graced this show.

The culinary experience featured delectable cuisine paired with Veuve Clicquot champagne, with JamVwal's discerning influence evident in the menu selections. Her exceptional ability to craft immersive experiences transcends her royal connections, revealing a rare talent for presenting art, culture, and design through a sophisticated perspective. It was indisputably an evening that will resonate in Mumbai's collective memory for years to come, a testament to Nisha JamVwal's unparalleled vision and execution and Gautam Singhanias game changing chairman’s collection which will take this indian brand international and make india proud.

Gautam Singhania remarked “This is a milestone year for Raymond and this limited edition of Chairman's Collection is our tribute to the rich heritage and Indian craftsmanship. This impeccably styled collection exudes elegance and style that are a hallmark of Raymond. As a homegrown Indian brand loved by millions of consumers, Raymond has crafted menswear offerings across price points for all occasions.”

Nisha JamVwal whose name is synonymous with luxury and perfection said, “The grandeur and flamboyance of every piece were so attractive to me that I was excited to showcase it to the cities glitterati! I could see Gautam Singhania’s love for perfection and artistic excellence resonate in the collection and i resonated with the passion and dedication of Gautam and his entire team!”
