Manoj Annadurai's tale seems like a fairly predictable narrative. But then, here's the twist — Chennai-based Manoj has directed not a Tamil film, but an independent English film in New York, with an all-American cast and crew (producer, Sania Jhankar, was the only other Indian in the crew). His film, Get Happy, is about an unhappy young man (played by American actor Chris Riggi, who played the lead in the spoof, Vampires Suck) who unlocks the secret to happiness when he falls in love with a woman.
