With great power comes great responsibility, and B’town’s young and famous lived up to these expectations at entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronnie and Zarina Screwvala’s Swades Foundation fundraiser, that was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar at the Palladium hotel, Mumbai on Thursday evening. The gala fundraiser was held to raise funds for rural development, with a mission “to create permanent, irreversible change in the lives of 1 million people in Rural India in the next 5 years.” Big names of the industry attended the big cause, with guests of honour Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya paving the way for charity.
