Bollywood raises funds for Jammu & Kashmir flood victims

The nation stands shocked at nature’s fury which took a toll on the almost-idyllic life of people of Jammu and Kashmir. The state witnessed worst floods in six decades, with lakhs still stranded, nowhere to go. The Indian Army and Air force is indeed doing their bits to save the flood-hit victims of the state, with 24-hour rescue operations, our Bollywood celebrities too have come forward to help all those who suffered due to heavy losses in the flood. Actor Varun Dhawan has stepped forward and kicked off a campaign to help buy kits for survival of the victims.

The website named ketto.org is the one through which Varun has initiated this campaign, which has so far collected around a lakh of a rupee. Not just the new breed actors are feeling for the cause, but actors like Hrithik Roshan has also come forward to take the initiative. The Greek god has also decided to raise the funds through a campaign supporting the cause. Besides him, actor Kunin associational Kapoor too has taken upon himself to help the J&k flood-hit victims. He in association with an NGO has decided to raise funds, which includes proving a survival kit to the needy. He took to Twitter to announce where the funds can be raised.
