Kalki Koechlin: Cinema Not The Only Means To Change Mindset About Women

"Cinema is a dominant but not the only means to change people's mindset about women," she said at an event on women safety in the national capital. The 32-year-old actress, who played the role of a young disabled girl in Shonali Bose's coming-of-age drama 'Margarita with a Straw', said, "there is no single source that can mobilise or change the thinking of an entire society. "Various sources and different mediums appeal to different people just like 'Margarita with a Straw' would appeal to a certain section of society. And that is why we need to continue our struggle at all fronts and through all the possible means," she added.
