Puducherry can build its identity as a destination where artistic cultural heritage is preserved, said Indianostrum Theatre founder Koumarane Valavane, at a press meet on Saturday to announce the date of Kameleon International Film Festival 2015, Puducherry, and release its logo. The festival will begin from December 4 to 6 this year. “With Puducherry’s strong association with France and its unique identity, the festival will be ideal here,” he said. Partnering the festival with Indianostrum Theatre are the Department of Tourism and the Alliance Francaise Puducherry. The Kameleon Festival began in 2010 as a theatre festival, and a second edition was held in 2011. This festival will feature short films, and is aimed at celebrating the work of young, aspiring independent filmmakers.
