Richa Chadda was in France some time ago for the screening of one of her upcoming movies at Cannes, where she was invited to make an appearance on a French nightly news and talk show. This makes her the only Indian actress after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to make it to the show, which has witnessed A-list actors like Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, Beyonce Knowles, Madonna and Katy Perry. And guess what she was grilled about? The state of women in India. Says the actress, “The topics ranged from terrorism in Kashmir to the Nirbhaya case They even spoke about the dowry system and bride burning in India. I couldn’t defend it as their observation was based on facts but I did try to change their perception.”
