China’s horrifying and cruel dog meat eating festival in Yulin, was put to an end via a powerful initiative taken by a person who trended the hashtag #StopYulin2015 and asked people to sign the petition for the same. For those unaware, the dog meat eating festival in China happens on an annual basis where thousands of dogs are kept in filthy cages, cut open, boiled alive and even blow torched for flavour. Thanks to the support of thousands of petitioners, the age old festival was stopped from taking place this year. Many actors from Bollywood, showed their solidarity for this cause and one of them was Anushka Sharma. As we all know, the Bombay Velvet actress is a die hard dog lover and often posts pictures of her lab Dude, on her Instagram account.
