Allahabad: With an objective to take better care of pregnant women and ensure antenatal care (ANC), the health department would hold Motherhood Week from January 27 to February 3 across the state. Around 3.25 lakh frontline health care providers are being trained & mobilized to strengthen VHND. It aims to reach out to 20 lakh pregnant women across the state, including 1 lakh women in Allahabad.Deputy project manager (National Health Mission) V K Singh maintained that a project named Village Health and Nutrition Day(VHND) is being taken up in all UP districts to ensure the effective delivery of maternal and child health services.
