Paul: Child, Forced Marriage A Human Rights Violation

Uttarakhand Governor Dr KK Paul has said child, early and forced marriage threatened the lives and future of girls and women around the world. It is a violation of their human rights, disrupts their education, endangers their health and makes them more vulnerable to violence.The Governor was speaking while inaugurating a photo exhibition titled “Girls’ Voices: Speaking Out Against Child Marriage”, here on Monday. The exhibition has been put up by the Government of Canada, in partnership with “Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage.”
