ACEE The Third Eye Presents Supernova, A Panel Discussion on Portrayal of Health, Young Mothers and Parenting in the World of Films, Television and Media

ACEE The Third Eye is empowering the creative leadership of the media and entertainment industries of India with accurate information on key health, legal, gender and social issues through expert advice, tracking change and measuring impact of content across all platforms.

ACEE The Third Eye holds regular briefings under the title SUPERNOVA, where experts from the field of medicine, social development and media address a wide variety of socially relevant issues through interactive sessions between creative communities in the world of films, television and advertising and a panel of experts. This is to encourage accuracy of facts and information in storylines.

This month, second in the series SUPERNOVA is a Panel Discussion ‘Portraying Young Mothers and Parenting in the world of Films, Television and Media’ to be held at their office at 1501, 15th Floor, Ashirwad Tower, Near Kokilben Ambani Hospital, Four Bungalows, Andheri (West), Mumbai -400053 between 3 pm and 5 pm.

The event will cover issues of parenting, as seen through the psycho-social, media and health perspectives.

The panellists for the session are-

 

Ms Deeya Singh– Television Producer and Director

Dr Lata Shenava– Ph.D and certified EI (Emotional Intelligence) Counsellor

Dr Armida Fernandez- Neonatologist and Founder Trustee, SNEHA

We asked our experts on the biggest challenges faced by parents today.  

Deeya Singh said, “To be able to raise normal, healthy kids with a strong spiritual and moral centre, to be able to raise discerning children who have developed their own strong sense of right and wrong, where discipline and rules are self-imposed are the biggest challenges facing young mother and parents. 

According to Dr Lata Shenava, “The media having taken over as a role -model for children and young people, replacing the family is one of the biggest challenges facing young mothers and parents.”

Dr Armida Fernandez opined, “In this era, technology has invaded the space of outdoor activities and relationships, restricting physical and emotional growth in children.”
