Bollywood celebrities and fashion designers have shown their support towards a 'Pink Selfie' campaign for breast cancer awareness.
Actresses Aditi Rao Hydari, Nargis Fakhri and designers Manish Malhotra and Nishka Lulla have come forward to back the initiative by Ogaan Cancer Foundation and Elle Breast Cancer Campaign during October, which is designated as the Breast Cancer Awareness month. An Instagram post by actress Nargis Fakhri reads: "I am wearing pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month with @elleindiaofficial. It's very important to get yourself tested as early detection provides a 98 % chance of full recovery and can save lives. #pinkSelfie." It's a unique initiative wherein all through the month, celebrities will be wearing pink and clicking 'selfies' to create awareness for the disease. The same is promoted and leveraged through social media and helps to create awareness about the campaign, said a statement.
