Bollywood actors have always associated themselves with social causes and now they might be seen on screen to promote legal awareness in the country with National Legal Services Authority(NALSA) is planning to rope them in to make people particularly the poor and illiterate aware about their rights through radio and television. Justice T S Thakur, who is going to be the next Chief Justice of India, said that he had an interaction with renowned filmmaker Prakash Jha and producer Ramesh Sippy to explore the possibility to use the audio-visual medium to spread legal awareness.
