Angelina Jolie to focus on off-screen roles as charity commitments take up more time

Angelina Jolie has told how her on-screen appearances will take more of a back seat as she concentrates more on her charity commitments and behind the scenes movie work. The Hollywood star said her role as a special envoy for the United Nations’ High Commissioner for Refugees and the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI) – which she helped to launch with Foreign Secretary William Hague – would be among her prime areas of focus. She was speaking at a press conference in London to launch her latest film Maleficent, in which she stars as the Sleeping Beauty sorceress. The 38-year-old had previously attended a preview of an exhibition of costumes from the Disney film – her first movie appearance for four years – at Kensington Palace
