Hollywood won’t be the only thing coming to Ely next month – the mayor will also be bringing a touch of Bollywood to the city.

As Ely prepares for stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard to take over the cathedral for the new film of Macbeth, the mayor of Ely has been gearing up for her own special event.

On Saturday, Ely Bollywood dancers showed mayor Elaine Griffin-Singh some of their moves ahead of the major charity event on Sunday, March 16.

The group of 12 gave the mayor a preview of their grand performance at the Paradise Centre in Ely.

‘Ely’s Bollywood Fair’ will raise money for both the mayor’s charity fund and the GEN Initiative – an organization working in the poorest villages of India to get rid of poverty.
