The ticket window for Bollywood films has been seeing a continual slump for the last three years. It’s basically because of lack of good content, originality, scripts and imagination of the creative minds at work. Most of the times, the producers have shown resentment or outright rejection towards stories, which they believe are outside their comfort zone, implying the fear to take risks on new and challenging subjects. This basically has led to average, run-of-the-mill stories being turned into films, with an expectation that the audience will accept it with open arms. It’s different when it is about Salman, SRK and Aamir. Audiences and cinemas wait for their films, considering they are sure-shot openers. In this case, the audience wants to watch the superstar, even if he is gyrating with his belt or repeating the same dialogue every 15 minutes.
