Celebrities, fans and costumed Super Heroes invaded San Diego on July 23-27, 2014, for the annual Comic-Con convention, which draws nearly 200,000 people every year.What most people don’t know is that Comic-Con International is actually a San Diego nonprofit educational corporation dedicated to creating awareness of – and appreciation for – comics and related popular art -forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.
