Comic-Con Takes Over San Diego For A Cause

Celebrities, fans and costumed Super Heroes invaded San Diego on July 23-27, 2014, for the annual Comic-Con convention, which draws nearly 200,000 people every year.What most people don’t know is that Comic-Con International is actually a San Diego nonprofit educational corporation dedicated to creating awareness of – and appreciation for – comics and related popular art -forms, primarily through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture. And this year, as usual, it was a virtual who’s-who of Hollywood heavyweights promoting upcoming films, television shows and animated programs.A partial list of attending celebrities who conducted Q & A’s included Josh Hartnett(Penny Dreadful), Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries), Boxing champ Mike Tyson (Mike Tyson Mysteries cartoon), Kevin Bacon (The Following),the cast of Hannibal, the Blacklist, Grimm, Orphan Black, the Walking Dead, and many, many others
