Free Children From Vicious Cycle Of Generational Poverty: Dia Mirza

Bollywood actor and Ambassador of 'Save the Children', Dia Mirza today made a strong pitch for protecting the innate rights of children, and freeing them from the vicious cycle of generational poverty. "I strongly believe that every child has innate rights which needs to be protected in all situations. Every child has the right to survive and thrive, right to play, right to quality education and right to live free of any violence,'' Ms Mirza said. He remarks came after the launch of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Care and Protection of Children in Street Situations for their rehabilitation and safeguarding.
