The plan is to put Statesville on the map in the film festival world — and the organizers behind Full Bloom Film Festival are already off to a good start. Filmmakers from around the globe submitted more than 130 features, documentaries and shorts for consideration by festival organizers, who said around 50 have made the cut to be shown at venues around downtown during the weekend of Sept. 24-26.
