Former NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett III will now tackle the nation’s top cancer killer. The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF) has named Baskett an ALCF official spokesperson to help raise awareness and much-needed research funding for lung cancer, the nation’s number one cancer killer, taking nearly 160,000 American lives every year. “I’ve known the Foundation for years now and I see the great work they’re doing for lung cancer patients everywhere,” said Hank Baskett III, who played five years in the NFL. “If it wasn’t for them my dad would most likely not be here today. I’m joining them in their fight to beat lung cancer for all patients.”
