Whenever time permits, Nawazuddin Siddiqui takes off to his village, Budhana, in Uttar Pradesh to oversee the family farms. His late father, Nawabuddin, was a farmer and ploughed the fields manually.He has preserved the agricultural tools that his dad used in the fields. During his recent visit to France, Nawaz learnt about a technique of irrigation that requires minimum water. Nawaz has now adopted this method in his village as a water-saving measure.
