If You’re Going To India Art Fair, Make Sure You Check This Installation Outby The Daily Eye Team February 6 2017, 12:16 pm Estimated Reading Time: 0 mins, 40 secs
India’s quickly galvanising, non-commercial art scene has set the score for some of the best curated art festivals across the globe. With the likes of the ongoing Kochi Biennale and the upcoming India Art Fair, we stand to gain works from a host of artists from all over the world. It is curation of this nature that creates a foundation for artists to return to India with their work and engage with the current cultural dialogue. Case in point–French-Bengali artist Chittrovanu Mazumdar marks his return to the country as a momentous passage for himself, and it’s a theme he explores in his works too. We got the chance to chat with the artist about his process, his works, and what comes next.
