Jessica Alba and celebrity jeweller Jennifer Meyer have put their glossy heads together to design two necklaces for the AIDS charity, which are launching today on Gilt. The simple designs are both heart-shaped and come in either 8k (approx £183.75) or 18k gold (approx £643.13) with tiny rubies set into the pendant. Jessica Alba said: “We realised that hearts were a perfect metaphor for this project…it’s an easy, elegant design that women can keep close to their hearts.” Jessica Alba and Jennifer Meyer share a giggle with Scandal actress Kerry Washington net proceeds from the necklace sales will go towards helping pregnant women who are HIV positive in Africa, providing them with medication that prevents the AIDS virus from being transferred to their unborn child.
