Singer Kailash Kher recently sang Beti, a hard hitting song, for Woman from the East and dedicated it to the movement Kailash Kher extended his hand to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao yojana. After many Bollywood’s famous personalities, the sufi singer takes a stand for the poor plight of women in India.  According to the sources, the campaign is for the encouragement of education for women and banishment of medieval notion of female foeticide.
