‘Socially Appealing’ Show Attracts Amol Palekar Back To TV

Amol Palekar will be returning to TV with a show based on the life of doctors. The veteran actor-filmmaker says it was the meaningful subject that propelled him to make a comeback to the small screen after over a decade. “I have always believed in making socially relevant and meaningful cinema and found the concept of the show unique and socially appealing. Hence, I decided to be a part of it,” the 70-year-old, known for movies like “Golmaal” and “Baaton Baaton Mein”, said in a statement. The show will attempt to dispel the negativity that prevails around the medical system by taking an honest look at the profession that is increasingly being perceived as being commercialised.
