‘Vidya, Deepika, Kangana, Anushka And I Stand Against Disparity Shown Towards Male And Female Actors’ – Priyanka Chopra.

Female actors in Bollywood have time and again spoken about disparity shown against male and female actors in the industry. Not only in terms of pay, even when it comes to casting, or relevance of a female character in a script, is not much importance given. And taking this issue a step further, Priyanka recalls her chat with Deepika Padukone during filming of ‘Bajirao Mastani’. She told DNA in an interaction, “Deepika and I were talking about how there’s a huge disparity between men and women. Not just here, but globally. Not just in this business, but in any job of authority. I think I always have that kind of attitude and believe Deepika has that attitude as well. People keep making fun of us on the sets, calling it our ‘big talk’.”
