Delhi University opens up its doors to transgender community

Delhi: Transgender community offered post-graduate courses in Delhi University Delhi University on Tuesday officially opened its doors to the transgender community by offering them post-graduate courses in the current academic year. Graduate courses will be offered in the next academic year of 2015-16. Members of the third gender option have been asked to apply under the Other Backward Classes quota. Gujarat: Government refuses to furnish information on state chief minister’s assets his Gujarat government has refused to entertain a Right to Information query seeking information on the assets and liabilities gathered by the Chief Minister and her council of ministers in the past five years. The government on Tuesday claimed that such information was not in the “larger public interest”. The petitioner from Mumbai, Anil Galgali, also sought information on action taken by the chief minister against ministers who refuse to declare their assets
