Gender Jump With Warts - India Overtakes China But Trails Bangladesh

India was today ranked 87th in the world on gender equality out of 144 countries, a jump of 21 places from last year. It beat China, which is ranked 99th, and Pakistan, ranked 143rd. However, India is among the bottom three in health and in the last 10 in economic participation of women, according to the latest annual Global Gender Gap Report compiled by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF).
