With Diwali round the corner, a five-day campaign titled ‘JagrukRaho, ChuppiTodo‘ has been launched by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights to raise awareness on sexual abuse of children.The child rights body, in collaboration with Delhi Government and Childline Foundation, has chosen Diwali time to launch the campaign as children are susceptible to abuse during festivities.“The awareness campaign is being undertaken in the city around Diwali as during this time, children become susceptible to sexual abuses in large gatherings and as parents leave them in the custody of others while taking part in festivities,” according to a press statement issued by the child rights body.
