Suman Prasad, a class IX student from Tangra is a feisty child activist who does not blink an eyelid in asking questions on quality education and better infrastructure in government schools. Daughter of a father who is a factory worker and a mother who works as a domestic help, the girl hopes her voice reaches the authorities concerned.
"Look at the quality of mid-day meal where a child is served with rice that is only half cooked or dal infested with insect. Around 100 children are cramped in a classroom that is only two fans. We are charged a fee annually for computer classes. I am in class IX and all that I have been taught so far is drawing! We study in government schools but why are we deprived of better facilities?" thundered the girl.
