India continues to contribute about 25 percent of all global maternal deaths. A large number of deaths are preventable through safe deliveries and adequate maternal care. It is a fact that ?although Maternal Mortality and Infant Mortality Rate show decreasing trend, this ? continue to be high in Odisha in comparison to national figure and at alarming ?stage.
