Swine flu: Is city facing shortage of vaccines?

City-based chemists and druggists associations are finding it difficult to meet its rising demand

Mumbai?:?The outbreak of deadly swine flu virus since January has caught the city off guard and its fear is driving them to opt for vaccinations. The demand for the vaccination has increased so much that city-based chemists and druggists associations are finding it difficult to meet its rising demand.

On Sunday, the city reported 36 new swine flu cases making it cross the 1,200 mark. The influenza virus has so far claimed 30 lives this year, of which 21 were visitors to the city.

The vaccinations are especially being demanded from private-clinic doctors and from people travelling to other states.
