GANG OF GHOSTS – THE MOST ENTERTAINING GHOSTS HAVE ARRIVED

RATING: 4 stars

Welcome back Satish Kaushik in the Directors Chair after a long gap.

GOG is an entertaining movie which will make you laugh and dance and love the Ghosts.

It is a movie about the Ghosts who have no place to live in Mumbai.

The Ghost – Anupam Kher is the owner of a huge mill & a sprawling mansion which is reduced to ashes by the mill workers.

The other Ghosts who have no place to live in Mumbai take refuge in Anupam Kher’s mansion after the interviews.

So we have Jackie Shroff, Mahie Gill, Meera Chopra, Saurabh Shukla, Yashpal Sharma, Asrani, Rajpal  Yadav, Chunky Pandey, J. Brandon Hill, Vijay Verma and their boss Anupam Kher who comprise of the Gang of Ghosts.

Now, their mansion is about to be taken over by the builder Rajesh Khattar and the Gang of Ghosts devise a plan and hire Jackie Shroff to save their mansion.

The noteworthy thing about this movie is the narration between Sharman Joshi (who is a ghost) and Parambrata Chatterjee.  The film flows very smoothly and there are lots and lots of entertaining and comical scenes which will make you laugh.  The art director has create sets that inculcate a feeling of nostalgia and the cameraman and the lighting division have complemented this aspect well.

The Bhoot Bar concept where only ghosts are allowed is quite unique.  The nostalgic type of songs like Nahin Dungi and the title song – Jaaye to Jaaye Kaha are quite entertaining.  The opening titles with the skeletons dancing and singing is excellent. The dialogues are crispy, witty and humorous.  The song sequences are well choreographed.

A lot of the scenes like the Gang of Ghosts going for a picnic at a beach, the ghosts using devices like mobiles, laptops and surveillance cameras are quite intriguing.

The entire cast has acted well. Mahie Gill looks quite sensuous and Meera Chopra adds to the oomph factor.

So the audience would be well suited if they leave logic outside the theatre.  Rush and enjoy the full on entertaining Gang of Ghosts.
