Superstar days are back again thanks to Salman Khan.  After Amitabh, if there is a real superstar, it is in fact Salman Khan. And after Dharmendra, if there is a He-man, then it is Salman Khan.

Jai Ho to Salman Khan.  Jai Ho has everything an entertaining movie should which is good music, dance, emotions, action, thrills and comedy. And above all a social message and Salman Khan who rocks.

Salman’s character is a suspended army man, who is an evangelist and helps people in distress.  Tabu plays his sister who appreciates Salman’s social endeavor.  Salman’s social message is – Do not say Thank You to people who help you. Instead, help 3 people and form a help chain.

In his good deed endeavor, Mukul Dev, who is the son – in – law of Danny Denzongpa (the Home Minister), gets thrashed badly by Salman and this doesn’t go down well with Danny, his daughter Sana Khan (Mukul Dev’s wife) & Danny’s Son.  Tabu tries to be a peace maker between Salman & Danny and requests Salman to apologize to Danny and end the enmity for the sake of their family. During this encounter Danny insults Salman and they also become aware of his corrupt ways. Salman and Tabu vow to avenge the insult meted out to them and also finish off Danny’s political empire.

Noteworthy things about Jai Ho are:

  1. Salman Khan’s screen presence, angry looks, Rambo type stunts and dance numbers.
  2. Social Message – Do not say Thank You – Help 3 people and form a help chain.
  3. Voluptuous Daisy Shah & her introductory Dance Sequence
  4. Action scenes, particularly where Salman Khan roars like a lion and villains getting scared of him and running helter skelter due to fear
  5. The songs are really enjoyable, particularly – Apna Kaam Banta where Salman dances excellently, the Photocopy song – Taaro Photo Nathi and the romantic song – Tere Naina Maar Hi Dalenge
  6. Huge star cast – Salman Khan, Tabu, Danny Denzongpa, Daisy Shah, Sana Khan, Mohnish Behl, Nadira Babbar, Tulip Joshi, Genelia, Sunil Shetty, Mukul Dev, Yash Tonk, Vikas Bhalla, Resham Tipnis, Sudesh Lehri, Nauheed Cyrusi, Bruna Abdullah, Vatsal Seth, Varun Badola, Pulkit Samrat, Sharad Kapoor, Mahesh Manjrekar, Mahesh Thakur, Santosh Shukla, Aditya Pancholi, Ashmit Patel.  And above all Khopdi (Nukkad fame) after a very long gap and in a good cameo.
  7. And we cannot forget the mandatory shirtless action by Salman Khan.

Go and enjoy – full on entertainment – Salman Khan style.
