Minions have sure taken everyone's liking and there just might be an overload of them everywhere, nevertheless Despicable Me 3 comes across as a fresh and vibrant animated story, standing proudly in the line of good sequences. This movie has the right ingredients - drama, action and lots of aww moments to make a successful sequel.

The story revolves around Gru (Steve Carell) and Lucy (Kristen Wiig) who are happily married (No existential crisis here!) and are fighting a dancing villain Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker) who runs out of their hand no matter how many times they try to catch him. The story takes a turn when Gru finds out about his twin brother Dru. Gru is pretty excited to meet him but isn't very happy when he spots at once Dru's luscious silky hair. Yet when Dru asks Gru to take him on one last heist to keep the family tradition alive Gru is more than ready! Gru thinks of retrieving the diamond and giving it back to AVL (Anti Villain League, Gru is an agent now, remember?)

It is a hilarious combination of various stories packed in a hour and 30 minutes. At no point did this movie seem stretched or over the top, it involved different stories like Lucy trying to fit in as the girls's mom, Agnes looking for a unicorn in a beautiful forest and the minions giving up on Gru as he is no longer a villain they used to worship. Minions are still yellow and mellow and girls are sweet, smart and adorable. Steve Carell aces both the twin character and leaves us entertained.

Sequels are very rarely a piece of good work since it is tough to deliver the magic twice but Despicable Me 3 manages to give it the third time as well. Weapons, flying cars, purple suited villain that kills with bubble gum and minions singing and being themselves, this movie is definitely gobble up Cars 3 revenue. It isn't preachy or teaches us morals it is zany with a few new elements to make it memorable.

The minions keep finding themselves in silly scenarios and we see a cameo apperance by Gru's mother Marlena (voiced by Julie Andrews) and of Dr. Nefario (Russel Brand). There's so much going on in each scene that you won't have the time or the heart to take your eyes off the screen. Everyone can relate to Gru and Dru's sibling rivalries. This mayhem only gets better with each scene! It has a concept of too many funny things happening together that the kids will be giggling all over. The best addition to the series is Bubble - Gum Villain Bratt which I won't tell you much about because it's better to seem him on the big screen than read about him here and lose the whole charm of it.

Despicable Me is going to last many franchises ahead, they have immense possibilities to up their story game and create new additions, characters with just as eccentricity as Bratt and loving family members like Dru. This is a roller coaster ride with all the fun and glee. We are screaming a big Yesss! Are you?
