One week on from launching 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund – a new global initiative that will protect children in danger around the world – UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador David Beckham has today added his voice to UNICEF’s ‘¿No te indigna?’ campaign to end violence against children and adolescents in El Salvador. ‘7’ is Beckham’s personal commitment over the next decade to helping the world’s most vulnerable children. In El Salvador thousands of children are in danger from violence, in their homes, in their streets and in their schools. In his first act since launching ‘7’, Beckham is speaking out for those children. He has recorded a short video message supporting UNICEF’s ‘¿No te indigna?’ campaign that will be broadcast across El Salvador from today and will appear in local billboard posters and print adverts. The in-country campaign hopes to raise awareness of the many forms of violence which affect children in El Salvador, the country with the highest child homicide rates in the world.
