Sudhanshu Vats, Group CEO, Viacom18 Media, delivered the keynote speech at CASBAA India Forum 2015. He spoke on how disruption drives opportunity, on the sunrise sector M&E industry continues to remain and the key trends that will impact the sector in the next ten years. Here’s the speech:About three years ago, I was offered the opportunity to lead Viacom18. In fact, I can still recall the vivid memory of that phone call. I was traveling on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road in Delhi. At that point, my gut told me the key ‘basis’ on which I had to make a choice. I could continue with my existing role, or leave the industry that I was so familiar with – disrupt my professional life and take on a leadership role in a sector that I had only worked with – never worked within. I must confess, it was a dilemma that wasn’t easy to settle.
