Elton John AIDS Foundation Marks Global Parents Day

To mark Global Parents Day, the Elton John AIDS Foundation joined forces with a representative of the US government at a private event on Monday 1 June celebrating their combined achievements in saving the lives of millions of women and babies infected with HIV. The private cocktail party for 120 guests including: Natalie Imbruglia, Lulu, Amanda Wakeley, Melissa Obadash, Crown Prince Pavlose, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal, John Frieda, Jay Jopling, Elizabeth Saltzman, Heather Kerzner, Tania Bryer and Arpad Busson was held at the Chelsea home of Ruth and Richard Rogers, and co-hosted by Elton John AIDS Foundation Chairman David Furnish. “This is an issue the Elton John AIDS Foundation cares deeply about” Furnish told guests, “we have already saved the lives of over 66,000 babies and we must keep going to ensure in the future children are born free of HIV.” Furnish thanked the event Host Committee, which included Ruth Rogers, Alisa Swidler, Heather Kerzner, Elizabeth Saltzman and Robin D’Alessandro for bringing guests together for the event.
